Norman is licensed as a Public Insurance Adjuster in Texas (2018), the U.S. Virgin Islands (2023), and New Mexico (2024). He is also a member of the Texas Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (TAPIA), reaffirming his commitment to the field.

Norman served in the U.S. Army JAG Corp in the Republic of Korea from 1971 to 1973, where he upheld legal standards within a military context.

He has been actively involved in numerous civic and professional organizations, including serving as President of the United Way in Duncan, OK, and holding leadership roles in the JAYCEES, the St. Thomas Yacht Club, and the United Way of St. Thomas & St. John. Additionally, he chaired the Ethics & Grievance Committee of the VI Bar Association. In Texas, he has contributed to homeowner’s associations and real estate associations.

Norman has shared his expertise in business law, teaching college courses through the University of Maryland Far-East Extension Group (1972-1973). He was certified by the Texas Real Estate Commission in 2016 to teach real estate courses.
